Our story

Why GEMACE GROUP Exists.

My path to insurance did not begin in an insurance office.

Electrician at work in a home

The beginning

After completing over 10,000 electrical and HVAC jobs, I entered homes and businesses across many income levels. Again and again, I observed something that had little to do with electricity or air conditioning: many hardworking people had built careers, homes and families but had never been given a clear conversation about how money, protection and retirement fit together.

Before entering insurance, my professional background also included business experience and work as a business account manager, where learning systems deeply and being able to answer customers' questions became part of my approach.

A chance conversation in a Starbucks introduced me to a different side of the insurance and benefits industry. I studied, became licensed in insurance, and began looking at the industry through the same lens I had used throughout my technical career.

Learn how the system actually works. Then explain it so other people can understand it.

In HVAC and electrical work, you do not walk into someone’s home, glance at the equipment and immediately tell them they need a new system. You inspect. You ask questions. You understand the problem. Then you determine what deserves attention. That experience influenced the way GEMACE GROUP approaches insurance and financial protection conversations: before discussing a solution, first understand the person and the problem.

From the field

Stories From the Field

“Over 10,000 electrical and HVAC jobs taught me something I never expected.”

“The problem I was called to fix wasn't always the biggest problem a family was facing. Working inside thousands of homes and businesses gave me a perspective I never expected to gain from electrical and HVAC work. Over the years, a few jobs and conversations stayed with me. They changed the way I thought about protection, money, retirement and the things people often don't know until life forces them to learn. Those experiences eventually helped lead me to GEMACE GROUP.”

The Service Call

Years ago, I arrived at a home as an electrical and HVAC professional to take care of a service issue. I had been inside thousands of homes over the course of my career, and like most service calls, I expected to find the problem, determine what needed to be done, and move on to the next job.
